    My takeaways: I am always a little skeptical of the houses that share a driveway and are positioned directly behind another house, but this one WOW! It felt so private, it had a serenity about it (don’t let the filtered pictures fool you), just an easy place to be. The house itself has been thoughtfully updated so other than changing paint color to your palette this house is ready for its next family!

    My takeaways: This house reminded me of those old houses where you open a door and the house further expands. I found the layout here to be exceptional, rooms just the right size and positioned well, a beautiful backyard, although you do look into a public park through the trees and they can look back! The other element I wasn’t particularly keen on is there is a matching house right next door, right down to the number styling for the address on the house… same developer.

    My takeaways: In the 90s this house was built as the owner’s dream home, by today’s standards it feels a bit choppy, and as you can imagine needs some updating. That said it is on a beautiful piece of property in Barron Park which I’ve said before is becoming a favorite place to discover more about.

    My takeaways: If you read my tour wrap-ups you know I struggle seeing condos and townhomes as the signs are never great in pointing to the actual unit and parking is not obvious, so I didn’t see this particular unit BUT I have seen units in this property before. The last condo I saw here I met a couple how raised their daughter in their condo and had been there for 30 yrs, they absolutely loved it. A great location and within the Palo Alto School District making it a popular complex for those trying to establish a Palo Alto address to be in this school district.

    My takeaways: This was the home of A. Quincy Jones who was tapped by Eichler to help all the business coming his way. You have a wonderful windy drive through the neighborhood (when did straight streets become the go-to for neighborhoods!) to get to this great cul-de-sac location. The property is really well maintained and the outdoor space wraps around the house. Great for a couple or young family as the second bathroom is small and not particularly private. It is one-of-a-kind.

    My takeaways: The most amazing, moody, vibey, retro in the best way living room. I was completely in awe of the main living area. I wouldn’t change a thing in this house. A wonderful piece of property with mature landscaping. The entire property is really well done.

    My takeaways: So well done. Perfect. My favorite room is this wonderful deep blue sitting room/library off the very bright and airy kitchen. Truly, nothing to be done here, unless you have a favorite color for a particular wall!

    My takeaways Yes, livable or rentable while you figure out what your dream home will be. The kitchen here is tight, the bathrooms are in need of an update but this property sits in a wonderful neighborhood on what feels like an expansive corner lot for 5712 sq ft.

    My takeaways: I’ll take the listing agent’s comment to this property, all about the location aka it needs work. The layout is choppy and it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. There are bedrooms at one side of the house and the other, the kitchen is really closed off and for a large house the hallways and corners feel tight. Great lot size though so dream away about what could be!

    My takeaways: Well for the price, you get one helluva a piece of property sitting in the middle of Palo Alto! As you can imagine this property is well appointed, it is open, airy, has a bit of a Southern feel to it, it isn’t the typical boxy house. A wonderful wide staircase. The only area that made my head tilt in curiosity was the laundry room that was right off the Primary closet, yes a door can close it off, but made the wonderful Primary feel not as private, but very utilitarian which I do have an appreciation for.

    My takeaways: I missed seeing this but this complex is pretty amazing, I’ve covered this complex before. A remarkable shared outdoor area with pool, cabanas, sun chairs, BBQs and dining tables. There is a front desk that has a level of concierge service, and is high-touch for a condo complex. All of this accounts for the high HOA fee. And, an amazing location with close proximity to Stanford and walkable to downtown Palo Alto.
