As the days get shorter, buyers are more likely to experience a home in lower natural light, or even after dark. Suddenly the warmth of a bulb matters more, a beautifully lit living room may carry more weight, and curb appeal includes what a house looks like when the porch lights are on. City Lights, in analyzing 4 years of Google Trends data, found that interest in home lighting is nearly 30% higher in fall than summer, with searches for “warm lighting” jumping almost 56%. It made me wonder: if the way we experience a home changes with the season, shouldn’t some of our staging decisions change with it?

And, you know I am particularly fond of new intel in areas I’ve never really thought about before!
