My takeaways: Completely Zen. Does the property need some updates? Yes. I happen to love the retro vibe, but it is move-in ready, allowing one to live in and get to know the space before deciding on a remodel. Landscaping and yard space is lush and vibrant. Nice wide street.

My takeaways: Great utilization of space. The house is a U shape around a courtyard that has tremendous potential, right now it is all cement and it is calling for some landscaping! The 2 sides of the U play host to bedrooms, providing essentially 2 wings that meet in the common areas. It is also a corner lot and right across the street from Ramos Park and a short walk to Mitchell Park. A great family location.

My takeaways: A perfect starter home. Perfect for a couple. While, yes, on the small side – of course this is all relative! As a former NYCer, 1000 sq ft was dreamy! The private drive, well, isn’t so private, it does pass another house that sits in front of the property and there is another house to the right side of the property. That said, once you are in the house, it does feel very private with a great backyard space.

My takeaways: I saw this property a few weeks ago and to be honest I am surprised it hasn’t sold. For me it doesn’t have the best curb appeal, the garage door right in front is a bit of a distraction but it has been wonderfully updated for the most part. The bathrooms need some work, but the house is move-in ready. It also has an excellent backyard which is easily accessed by fabulous French doors.

My takeaways: The Listing Agents remarks pretty much sums it up! I happen to really like the Southgate area of Palo Alto, it has a great neighborhood feel. It is also located within walking distance from Stanford, Palo Alto High School and Town & Country, a main shopping hub. And, as much of a sucker as I am for vintage door knobs and some beautiful leaded glass work, this house has had its time. That said, maybe the buyer can find a way to incorporate some of the lovely details in this property’s next iteration.

My takeaways: Charming bungalow on a great piece of property. Yes, it needs updating but the bones are there. There is also an opportunity for an ADU in the back (provided permits can be had), and if not, the backyard space can be further developed to make full use of the lot and gain a larger entertaining space.

My takeaways: Brand new build. I appreciate the exterior isn’t a modern box! There is some shape and style to it. The interior is super modern with a lot of wonderful light coming in giving a sense of softness to what could easily feel sterile. The marble used throughout the house is a show-stopper! Smart layout on the main floor that provides an area for a long-stay guest. The ‘basement’ provides what seems to be a prerequisite these days for new builds: an entertaining space, a couple bedrooms and a gym space. If it were my design, I’d probably shave off some of the square footage of the house to gain more yard space, but what is available is well appointed. It should be noted Coleridge is a prestigious street in Old Palo Alto.

My takeaways: I saw this house about 2 weeks ago. It is a beautiful old house, the original carriage house is still on the property, and a huge piece of property it is. My hope is someone doesn’t come in and level it as it has a ton of stately old house charm (the bathroom under the stairs that leads to the backyard is one-of-a-kind), but the property size is such that one could craft a helluva compound. It is in the prestigious Old Palo Alto but does sit across from an equally prestigious private all girls school.

My takeaways: Great cul-de-sac location with complete potential. The original house off to the right when one walks in the front door, would make an incredible long-stay guest wing or be rooms for teenagers to have their own space. The 2 story build offers a lot of space but the space utilization is lacking. The listing agent advised the structure and mechanicals (example, wired for A/C) are there so I don’t think one would necessarily have to tear it all down. The yard space is tight but right now it is all cement so there is opportunity to create one’s desired green space, and yes, the kitchen could easily have French doors stepping out into the backyard!

My thoughts: I run by this property most Sunday mornings. Incredible curb appeal, corner lot, I so wanted to love it, but…. It just felt tight inside, offering very distinct room spaces, and a lot of step ups and downs on the second floor. The backyard space was disappointing, given the size of the house, and in comparison to 467 Lincoln Ave. The house is move-in ready, my gut is the buyer will want to freshen up the kitchen and bathrooms, but no immediate work is needed.

My takeaways: I am completely charmed. Thoughtful remodel, amazing backyard space. Grand, wide staircase, beautiful dark wood floors. I didn’t find anything not to love. The negative for some is that it doesn’t offer a main floor bedroom suite, and is across from a church so it loses a bit of a full neighborhood vibe.

My takeaways: Great corner lot. The front door opens into a wonderful great room. The layout is a bit choppy but it does have a flow to it, one can move room to room without circling back around. There isn’t a primary bedroom – the 2 bedrooms share a bathroom. There is a 3rd room with a bathroom near it, personally I think it is better used as an office but is currently staged with a twin bed.
