My takeaways: While I didn’t tour this property today, I have been in this Condo community before and the properties are really lovely. Sharon Heights is a bit removed from the rest of Menlo Park, but excellent access to 280 and Sand Hill Rd.

My takeaways: This is a corner lot that does sit on a busier road, but the house is positioned for the focus of the property to face away from the busy street. Wonderful original wood floors. Beautiful gardens. Some work needs to be done to create a fuller primary but beyond that the house is ready to move-in!

My takeaways: This one sits on a main thorough, but has a lovely piece of property. The one odd element is it has an upstairs which is effectively a bedroom and bathroom, my guess judging from the size of the closet this was considered the Primary… ultimately I think you have to find use for this space, as while it is a decent sized space, there isn’t a door so it is a bit loft like feeling.

My takeaways: Breathtaking. Amazing gardens. Corner lot. The house is positioned so one has gardens around the property. The bedrooms have access to one garden while the main living space opens up to another garden. A really wonderful feeling house, and would be excellent for entertaining. Nothing felt too big, and the main room has a beautiful vaulted ceiling.

My takeaways: I previewed this property on Sept 2, the following are my thoughts. While this new build very much mirrors the new builds – very square, office looking structure in the palette of white, black window panes and wood detailing – all over Palo Alto and Menlo Park, this one had some nice touches that made it feel less sterile. The bathrooms are each a bit different and have neutral wallpaper which is a nice touch vs another neutral painted wall. The builder / seller has also left some features for the buyer to customize; the door pulls in the kitchen and what the room between the garage and kitchen will be – mudroom or pantry. Back yard is small but it is there! The one downside is there is a very large house going up to the side of the property that sort of dwarfs everything around it.

My takeaways: Incredible piece of property. Let’s face it, most people want 2 bathrooms and with the way the house is set on the property, it is easy to see how to expand it and make that happen. That said, this house is ready to move in. New bathroom and kitchen, feels fresh, it is a wonderful charming cottage. It is on a corner lot and is right off of Bay Rd with the barrier wall to 101, so yes, you do hear the hum of traffic.
