Menlo Park Broker Tour Report

The weather Gods brought us some crazy moments to Silicon Valley today. Lightening, thunder, high winds, and hurricane like rains. About the only plus is the wind makes the eucalyptus trees smell divine, of course given their shallow root system rain and high winds tend to tip them over! Needless to say, only the hearty agents were out today braving the weather! Fortunately, it was a small tour today, but some solid properties one being a townhome that really left an impression.

My takeaways: This is a 55+ community that I am a big fan of. Some units are more updated than others, and if you can get one overlooking the central area and pool it is a win. The one thing to pay attention with these units is not all owners / sellers will have added an in-unit washer and dryer, this unit does have one. The building does have a central laundry room which is nice to have for larger items!

My takeaways: The listing agent summed this property up… it is a gem. The primary is on the first floor but has a room right next door with a shared door that can be a nursery, kids play room, office or a sitting room. The house has great vaulted and wood beam ceilings. Yes, some updates are needed but this property is a special one.

My takeaways: I loved this townhome. In fact, I sent it to a client to take a look at. The current owners put in some incredibly tasteful upgrades in… walnut floors, big wood shutters, wood paneled sitting room (that can be a 3rd bedroom), top appliances and fixtures. This felt like walking through a sophisticated enclave, this felt like a home vs having the remnants of a templated townhouse. There is also an amazing bonus space off the primary bath that could be an extended closet or as they had it staged, as a office.

My takeaways: I love this townhome community and the owners that live here also love this community! Fun fact, the units all have a space for an elevator should they choose to install one to make the 3 floor layout easier to manage. The main living room offers a wall of windows that have a mix of bamboo and mature trees lining the property. This property has a beautiful upgraded kitchen. The bathrooms could stand a bit of work.
