A Sunday Home Tour In Menlo Park

Date Sunday, December 7, 2025

I decided to see some properties today and get back into the swing of touring again! I’ve missed the last couple weeks of Broker’s tour, either because literally nothing new has come to market, or I have been out of town. Below are a few properties I toured today. All really solid listings.

Menlo Park 304 – Allied Arts / Downtown

Listing Agent / Broker: Katy Thielke Straser, Compass

Address: 145 Cornell Road

Bedrooms: 4 – Bathrooms: 3 Full

Sqft: 2290

Lot: 8100

Price: $3,595,00

Listing Agent remarks: Allied Arts at its finest! Staged and shows beautifully!

My takeaways: Ready to go! There is even a little play ground area built in. The current owners have done a wonderful job of keeping the older touches of the home while fully updating it. I would say this is more of a 3 bedroom as the 4th bedroom is quite tiny. The kitchen is also on the smaller side but it opens onto a generous family room with wonderfully large windows that overlooks a verdant green lawn. This property also has an incredible brick fireplace which adds just that extra dose of charm!

Menlo Park 305 – Middlefield to El Camino Menlo Park

Listing Agent / Broker: Kim Pausanos, Fifty Hills Real Estate

Address: 1621 Stone Pine Lane

Bedrooms: 3 – Bathrooms: 2 Full, 1 Half

Sqft: 3080

Lot: 1918

Price: $1,988,000

HOA: $430

My takeaways: I love this community of houses, it is like a best kept secret. Large generous sized homes, with shared walls, and a common area that features a pool. These houses are 3 stories which is less than ideal for some that don’t have the knees for the stairs, but this property featured an elevator so a win! Actually, the property that was available in this community earlier this year had a couple moving out because they couldn’t take the stairs anymore. They wrote this lovely note to the future buyer about how much they loved living in their home and why they had to go. Their agent said they would move out of the area.. cut to they are looking at this property because they don’t want to leave this community and the elevator solves their issue with the stairs. Nothing like the potential of moving just down the street!

Menlo Park 308 – Willows / O’Conner Area

Listing Agent / Broker: Rachel Zhang, Compass

Address: 108 Durham Street

Bedrooms: 3 – Bathrooms: 2 Full

Sqft: 1390

Lot: 6936

Price: $3,078,000

Listing Agent remarks: N/A

My takeaways: Great location and a wonderful amount of new updates. However, the house hasn’t been completely remodeled so expect some work in the bathrooms and the mud room area where the veneer from the shelves is starting to peel away. The added skylights give the home an extra dose of light and there is a perfectly sized backyard that one can expand the house into or simply enjoy!

Menlo Park 311 – County Area / Fair Oaks

Listing Agent / Broker: Carol Sangster, Compass

Address: 628 8th Avenue

Bedrooms: 2 – Bathrooms: 2 Full

Sqft: 1140

Lot: 4458

Price: $1,648,000

Listing Agent remarks: N/A

My takeaways: This house to me is an absolutely steal at this price. It is fully re-done, a little ADU out back. Yes, it is small but it is perfectly laid out not only on the inside but the way the home is situated on the property still allows for a nice sized deck and greenspace. Perfect for a young couple and or someone who wants to downsize and avoid stairs (although there are a few but not a whole flight!)
